For our project titled "Community," the K3 students focused on individuals with special needs and explored ways to assist them. This led us to learn about barrier-free access facilities, such as ramps, lifts, and tactile paving, as well as the related accessibility symbols. The children then applied their knowledge during an outing in the South Horizons community. We walked to the MTR station and the local mall, where we identified various accessibility features in public spaces. This hands-on experience helped the students deepen their understanding of the concepts studied in class and relate them to real life. We learned so much from this experience!
